A Little Bit of Me: As a mother of 2 beautiful and smart kids, I treasured all their special moments and showed them all the fun memories we have shared. I have always had a passion for photography; I minored in Studio Art Photography at SUNY Stony Brook. Being the first born, my parents captured all of my milestones. As a child I used to look back at our family images quite often, this helped me remember those wonderful moments our family shared. One of the most important gifts you can give your child is the gift of memories.
I chose to specialize in Maternity and Newborn because of my journey. After a long struggle with IVF, while handling my mother’s sickness, I was able to carry new life inside. I realized how fortunate women are to be able to conceive, it is a Blessing that needs to be celebrated and honored. The newborn stage is just as precious and it happens so quickly.
I love having the ability to photograph your newborn it is a special way to freeze that moment in time. The best time to photograph a newborn is within 5-12 days of life or less than 10 pounds. When they are this young the baby tends to sleep a lot more and is flexible enough to hold positions. At the studio I create a very comfortable setting to remind the baby of the womb. Parents can rest while capture fun memories.
Extensive Photography Training: Thank you for visiting my page and taking the time to get to know me a little better. Why chose me to photograph this special moment? I have attended numerous workshops and have gone through extensive training. They include Creative Live Courses, The Portrait Masters Conference and workshops with Sue Bryce, Bumps to Babies Photographing Motherhood with Sue Bryce and Kelly Brown, Newborn Photography Bootcamp with Kelly Brown, Portrait Photography Bootcamp with Lindsay Adler, Motherhood Portraiture with Lola Melani, as well as workshops in her studio.
Most importantly I attended Ana Brandt's Workshops and have assisted her in client and other workshops. She is the proud owner of "Belly Baby Photography." In her workshop I learned the many different ways to light my subject as well as posing, styling, and safe handling of newborns. She has become a mentor and helped me grow in my photography journey.
My Career Background: I have an extensive career in Customer Service. I worked as a Store Manager for Starbucks for several years. When I relocated to Central New Jersey, I decided to change my career path; I worked for 10 years with L'Oreal and currently work for a 3PL as Project Manager in Engineering.
