When is the best time to do a Maternity session?

We suggest within the 29-34 weeks, when you have a nice round belly and feel good. Every mom varies in weight and size; we suggest calling in the beginning of your second trimester to discuss scheduling.

When is the best time to do a Newborn session?

Newborn sessions are done when baby is 5-12 days. Babies change very quickly, their eating habits and attachment to mom strengthens as the days go by. The first 2 weeks is the best time to be photographed in curled positions, because babies are born with extra bones that allow them to be extra flexible. Once baby is 10 lbs or older than 2 weeks, these bones fuse. Since newborn sessions are strategically planned, and sessions last up to 3 hours they need to be booked in advanced. Newborn session inquiries after baby is born is not always available.

When do we get our photos?

We send an online gallery of the highlights of the session a week after your photoshoot date. You will select your favorites; we will review the favorites and send them back on an online gallery for download. Prints are sent to you digitally and can be printed up to 8x10. Full turnaround time can be 2-3 weeks.

Do you provide location photo shoots?

Photo shoot will take place in the home studio at no additional charge or surrounding grounds. For beach, client home (20 miles) and park locations an additional $150 charge is needed, client will receive 5 additional images.

Is there an incentive for booking maternity and newborn with the same studio?

If a Maternity session is purchased, client will receive $50 off their newborn session package. This discount is part of the Belly to Baby promotion.

Will you be providing Maternity Gowns and styling?

At the studio we carry many different gowns to enhance the maternity experience, these gowns range in sizes and colors. The maternity package includes 3 dress choice, fabrics, or looks. For family members, we always suggest neutral colors, no loud prints or bold colors. These photos should be timeless and reflect your style.

Does the studio provide hair and make-up?

We work with several hair and makeup stylists in the area. Prices are paid to the stylist and not the studio. Makeup should be a “Bridal Look” nothing trendy and not overdone. Hair trend currently is long lose curls, this provides hair movement for the photo shoot.

How is payment made?

A $150 non-refundable Retainer fee is required at time of booking. Balance is paid at the session, cash or check is preferred.

Do you have a referral program?

If a referral is made for a full session example maternity, newborn, glamour portraits; an image credit is given. These credits can be accumulated, never expire, and can be used towards any future session.

How early can I book my session?

Sessions are best if booked in the first or second trimester. We have very limited availability due to other commitments and booking early guarantees your session. If life happens and you decide later on you want a photo shoot the studio will be happy to accommodate your family.

Will the final images be retouched?

The final images will be retouched, skin will be lightly smoothed and bumps will be minimized. The studio takes pride in delivering a magazine ready polished image. If there are any concerns please let the photographer know before your photoshoot begins.
